Dan Hensarling, Inc. is proud to announce our role in building one of Mississippi’s most exciting cultural projects — the Mississippi Songwriters Performing Arts Center in Gautier.

Last week, the City of Gautier awarded Dan Hensarling, Inc. a $6.2 million construction contract to bring this long-anticipated vision to life. The center will honor Mississippi’s rich musical heritage while also serving as a modern hub for arts, education, and community.

Located on the site of the former Singing River Mall, the new 10,000-square-foot, two-story facility will feature:

  • A state-of-the-art recording studio
  • Indoor and outdoor performance spaces
  • The Mississippi Songwriters Alliance Hall of Fame
  • Classrooms and cultural programming areas
  • Extensive landscaping and site development

More than a building, the Mississippi Songwriters Performing Arts Center is a key part of the broader Gautier Town Center development, designed to spark economic growth, foster creative expression, and attract visitors from across the region.

“This project celebrates the legacy of Mississippi music and opens doors for the next generation of creators,” said Dan Hensarling, President of Dan Hensarling, Inc. “We’re honored to help build something that will serve both the arts and the community for decades to come.”

Construction is expected to begin in the coming months and wrap up in approximately one year.

As a trusted builder on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, Dan Hensarling, Inc. is proud to help set the stage for this incredible new chapter in Gautier’s cultural story.
